Valuations

At Bristol Violin Shop we offer three different types of valuation. If you have an Antique instrument we can usually give you a valuation. If the maker of your instrument is still living, it is worth whatever the maker says it's currently worth, so as such we cannot comment. Its worth noting that a Valuation for Insurance purposes is around 10-15% higher than a 'retail' value, to allow flexibility should the worst happen and you need to choose a new instrument. We offer three options for Valuations, either a full written letter, a short 'one line' letter which costs less, or verbal (the cheapest option depending on how long it takes us).
